The field of social policy is a wide one, and challenges abound within it. This branch is tasked with such issues as the student body's mental well-being, sports opportunities and avoiding burnout from combining studies and work. The social policy representative also tackles the low priority given to students in universities of applied sciences by the Finnish health care. HELGA is working intensively with other student associations in the Helsinki area, as well as SAMOK to improve the status and living conditions of students.
